3rd year we are doing this. - We had a great time so lets do it again.

Anyone who knows the Sand Sculpting Festival knows that the Beach can transformed into something beautiful, something magical, something comical or something whimsical. But no matter what, it is always amazing. Masters of the craft and amateurs alike join to create what is one of the most popular events held on Fort Myers Beach.

Year after year, approximately 65,000 spectators continue to be in awe of the creations that are formed simply by combining water and the sugar fine white sand from our spectacular beach. Many of the Masters believe that Fort Myers Beach sand is the best in the world for events like this, and they look forward to returning each year to participate.

Lets meet at 9 for breakfast and car pool or carvan. The drive will be about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Please post if you have carpooling available and what you will bring for breakfast. (Just so we don't have 5000 of the same.) If you will meet us over in Fort Myers please let us know. We will be over there about 12-1ish.

Lets enjoy the day and watch the beautiful sunset at 5:45pm at one of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. Bring your beach attire, sunscreen, snacks, water, etc..
As the day proceeds we find a location to get some food and beverages.

I CALLED THEM UP AND FOUND OUT THEY ARE CHARGING TO GET CLOSE THE SCULPTURES..
THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FEE EVENT FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS. WE CAN STILL SEE THE WORK BUT CANT GO UP THE THE ARTIST.

They're charging $5 for admission this yr for adults & $3 for children

Parking information and location:
The official parking for the event will be at the North Field of Carl Johnson's Boat Ramp at Lovers' Key State Park..

There, a bus will shuttle visitors to and from the event site from 9 am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. The parking and shuttle are free to event goers. Please watch for the parking signs .
